The Brontosaurus is one of the biggest herbivores in ARK. It has massive health, its tail hits in a wide arc and with the platform saddle it becomes a mobile base you can build on. It is a good gatherer and a very durable tank.

How to tame a Brontosaurus step by step
- Gather lots of food: even with Exceptional Kibble it needs quite a bit, and with berries a huge amount.
- Find a safe spot: a high cliff, a closed structure or a flyer that keeps you above it.
- Shoot it in the head with tranquilizer darts or arrows. If you attack from the air, come in from behind the head.
- Never fight next to it on foot: its stomps and tail deal huge damage.
- Once it is asleep, add only the chosen food and protect it from carnivores while it tames.

It usually travels alone or in small groups, feeding on treetops or wandering along beaches. Its long neck sticks out above the trees, so you can see it from very far away.

- To dodge its tail, move quickly to the side opposite the swing.
- It gets stuck easily behind rocks and cliffs: use that to shoot it safely.
- A Pulmonoscorpius, whose sting builds torpor, helps knock it out faster.
