The Therizinosaur is a huge herbivore with very long claws that fights like a predator. Besides being a tough combat mount, it gathers almost everything: wood, thatch, fiber, berries, silk and seeds. That makes it one of the most useful mid-game tames.

How to tame a Therizinosaur step by step
- Prepare the food: Exceptional Kibble if you can; otherwise lots of Vegetables or Mejoberries, plus a big stack of Narcotics.
- Build a 2x2x2 stone trap or use a Large Bear Trap or Chain Bola so it cannot reach you.
- Get close until it turns hostile, lead it into the trap and shoot it in the head with darts or tranq arrows.
- Once it is asleep, put only the food you want it to eat into its inventory.
- Check its torpor often: it drops fast, so give it Narcotics or Narcoberries regularly.
- Guard it from predators until the tame finishes so you do not lose effectiveness.

Where to find the Therizinosaur in ARK Ascended
It shows up on almost every large map, mostly in forests and inland areas with thick vegetation. On Fjordur it lives in Midgard and Jotunheim. It is easy to recognize by its feathered body and huge claws; keep your distance until you are ready.

- Its bite adds torpor to the target and can knock a rider unconscious.
